New solution for creating rich interactive digital magazines and newspapers for the print publishing industry unveiled

Advanced Publishing Corporation announces today the launch of its next generation digital edition solution -- RIDE (Rich Interactive Digital Editions) built on the Microsoft Silverlight cross-browser platform. Silverlight delivers rich, cross-platform interactive experiences that include animation, graphics, audio and video capabilities for the Web. Integrating Silverlight within the RIDE application enables Advanced Publishing to seamlessly create and deliver rich interactive versions of magazines and newspapers for its publishing customers. A digital edition created with RIDE delivers full size, full color pages with access anywhere.
In addition to full issue and archive search, email and social network sharing, and interactive deep hyperlinking capabilities, with RIDE and Silverlight online video takes on new life. Advanced Publishing’s customers can embed or add HD quality video content to an issue providing readers with a high definition experience available nowhere else! Silverlight creates interactive video experiences that scale from full-screen high-definition (HD) to mobile devices.
